On Saturday June 13th, ARWA is hosting a workshop focusing on Marketing Yourself. As part of that workshop, we are delighted to tell you that we are bringing in photographer Alana Wilner ( alanawilnerphotography.com ) who will take head shots for those members who wish them. Photos will cost $50 and must be paid for by the member purchasing them.
Alana says:
Weather permitting, the photos will be taken outside near the ARWA location. Each session will be 15-30 minutes depending on how many people would like to participate. The cost will be $50 per person, and after the shoot I will put up a separate gallery for each person with 5 or so images that they can choose from. They can pick their favourite image and I will edit it fully and upload it into their gallery in both black and white as well as colour. They will be free to download their image and print it or put it on the web as much as they would like. They will be provided with both a print quality image for any print publications they’d like to use it for, as well as web quality for blogs and websites etc. Additional images may be purchased for $20 per photo (a black and white version as well as colour will be provided for all additional images purchased as well).
Although these are headshots, Alana suggests the most effective upper clothing/make up to wear on the day of is something that you’re comfortable and confident in. Try not to wear any shirts with words or logos on them, and layering is a great way to get a variety of looks in a short amount of time without having to change clothing. Scarves are also a nice easy way to give some diversity to your photos since they’re easy to remove for a different look.
Payment is by cash (exact please) or cheque made payable to Alana Wilner Photography. Alana will offer receipts as ARWA members can claim this as a business expense. Receipts will be uploaded to your personal photo gallery after the shoot.
