Membership

The Alberta Romance Writers’ Association membership includes the following:

  • Workshops on the third Saturday of every month from 10:30am – 12:00pm Mountain Time (except December, July, and August. AGM is during the June meeting.)
  • Monday evening online cowriting sessions.
  • Tuesday pop-up discussion groups for member craft and publishing discussions.
  • Small feedback groups that meet weekly online to support you with your current work in progress.

Membership Fee

Join the Alberta Romance Writers’ Association! The annual fee is $60.00. The membership year is September through to the following August.

New and Renewing Members

Renewing Members: update your registration information here and use one of the following payment methods if not part of the exception below.

NOTE: For the 2024 – 2025 membership year only, renewing members who were fully paid by November 2023 for the 2023-2024 year will have their membership free this year!

FAQ

What if I want to try a workshop before joining?

Select workshops are available for a one-off fee. Please see the upcoming workshops and select the event to see if there is one-off attendance available.

What if I am joining midway through the year? Can I still join? Do I have to pay the full year amount?

You can absolutely still join! We welcome new members at any point in the year. Memberships can be prorated for the remainder of the ARWA year. Fill in the membership form and then contact the Treasurer for more details.

Will I be automatically renewed for the following year?

No. Members have control of their membership and must submit a registration renewal. 

The Fine Print

By registering, you agree as a member of the Alberta Romance Writers’ Association, to give the ARWA board permission for ARWA to e-mail me with items and information pertinent to me as a writer and ARWA member, including but not limited to ARWA newsletter, ARWA loop, ARWA updates, announcements of ARWA author releases and ARWA programme reminders.
