Before all the other classic books on writing — before “The Writer’s Journey”, before “Save the Cat!”, before “Anatomy of a Story” — there was “The Art of Dramatic Writing: Its Basis in the Creative Interpretation of Human Motives”, written in 1946 by Lajos Egri.
Today it remains deeply-influential while also being very accessible and instantly-applicable for fiction writers of every stripe.
This workshop will provide an introduction of Egri’s ideas, how you can apply them to your writing, and hopefully inspire you to read Egri’s masterpiece in its entirety.
