Character Development
with B.G. Cousins
When a character does something totally outside of his/her motivations, it confuses the reader and weakens the narrative. Characters must be consistent with their skills and personalities they start with. They can evolve and grow, learning new things like real people, but not suddenly without reason. This workshop takes you through establishing a backstory to create the skill set and personality of each character and map out how they would respond to each circumstance in your plot. This presentation was first done at WWC 2020.
